Talia Gushchina, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Talia Gushchina spent her summers working at her father’s small business in Merrick, a short walk away from East Bay Veterinary Hospital. Though originally from Brooklyn, she considers Long Island to be her second home. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Binghamton University, and got her start at East Bay as a veterinary assistant following her graduation. Her time with the East Bay staff inevitably sparked her love for small animal medicine, leading her to further her education. She then went on to graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her Doctorate. Once back in New York, she eagerly returned to practice as part of the East Bay family.
Dr. Gushchina has deep interests in preventative medicine, internal medicine, and nutrition. She values keeping up to date with the latest discoveries and advancements in the veterinary field, and strives to implement them into her care. She finds fulfillment in her role as a member of the wonderful local community, and enjoys getting to know her clients and patients in equal measure. Outside of East Bay, Dr. Gushchina enjoys traveling, drawing, and spending downtime with her fluffy feline, Thor.
