Amanda Maltese, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Amanda Maltese, a passionate veterinarian, is originally from Merrick. Her journey in veterinary care began early, volunteering at East Bay Veterinary Hospital, at 14 years old. Here her dedication and love for animals flourished. She pursued her dream at the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine and returned to join the practice. Over the years, she’s woven herself into the fabric of the hospital; the staff feels more like an extension of her own family.
Dr. Maltese has special interest in pain management and chronic disease therapy. She finds profound fulfillment in alleviating suffering and improving her patients’ lives. She also greatly values and enjoys the relationship she forms with her clients.
Beyond the hospital, Dr. Maltese cherishes every moment she spends with her daughter and pets (three dogs and two cats). Things are busy, but she loves it!
