Rachel Higgins, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Rachel Higgins is a proud Long Island native, born and raised in Rockville Centre. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from Fordham University, where she was also a Division I soccer player. She went on to receive her Doctorate from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she built a strong foundation in animal care and discovered a passion for surgery.
Before joining the East Bay family, Dr. Higgins worked at a busy veterinary hospital in Brooklyn while living in Manhattan. She eventually returned to her roots in Rockville Centre to be closer to family and start her own. She is now a proud mom to a son and a daughter, along with her beloved dog she adopted during veterinary school. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and exploring new food spots and coffee shops.
