Barbara has been an employee of East Bay Veterinary Hospital since 1986. Over the years she has held many positions but being at the front desk is what brings her the most pleasure. She has the privilege of knowing some of the clients since they were quite young and seeing them come in now as adults with children and puppies of their own. It is quite amazing to have the opportunity of knowing some of these families for generations. Seeing how much joy and pleasure a pet can bring to a family is one of the greatest rewards for her.
Over the years Barbara and her family have had numerous pets in their household. All of them were adopted or rescued including Buster, a 3 day old puppy that was found abandoned in a box outside the door when she arrived at the hospital one morning, Chance, a pit bull who was rescued from a kill shelter just hours before she was to be euthanized and her cats Murphy, Buddy, Scruffy and Angus just to name a few. Her dog Nemo a 13 year old mix breed occupies her time at present.
When not at the office Barbara enjoys boating with her family, tending her small vegetable garden and numerous flower pots and spending time with her young granddaughter Isabella.
Megan has been a part of our East Bay family for 5 years beginning as a kennel assistant while in high school, to being promoted to a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2014. She attended Suffolk County Community College and graduated with an Associates degree in Veterinary Science Technology. She has great compassion for animals including the pit bull mix she has at home, Noli Cannoli.
Anthony has been a proud member of the East Bay team since August 2014. It was his interest in animals and the joy of being able to assist in their care that brought him here.
At home Anthony enjoys the company of his rescued cat "Catherine" who expects belly rubs and lots of his attention on a daily basis. He also makes time for nature walks, going to the beach and sight seeing in Manhatten. When it's time to relax Anthony can be heard strumming his guitar.
He is looking forward in furthering his education in the animal care field.
